In order to avoid hitting a vehicle that stopped suddenly in front of you:

1. ATry to overtake it in order to leave it behind.
2. BAlways keep a sufficient distance from the vehicle ahead of you (according to the distance-keeping method - 21, 22).
3. CStop immediately when you notice the brake lights of the vehicle in front of you, regardless of the distance from it.
4. DKeep a foot on the foot brake permanently so that you too can stop if necessary.
