In order to move from park (P) to drive (R or D), in a vehicle with an automatic transmission you must:

1. APress the brake pedal. The gear will engage automatically.
2. BPress the brake pedal and the release (operating button) and move the gear lever to the drive position.
3. CPress the release (operating button). The gear will engage automatically.
4. DPress the clutch pedal and move the gear lever.
